Horrible Histories wins three Baftas

We already knew that the Horrible Histories CBBC series was brilliant, but now it’s official. The series won three – yes, three – BAFTAs at the Children’s BAFTA Awards on 28 November 2010. Hooray!

The Horrible Histories team picked up gongs for Best Comedy and Best Writing, and Jim Howick received the award for Best Performer. Jim has played all sorts of characters in the series – from George IV, who hated his wife so much he locked her out of his coronation, to dastardly pirate Blackbeard, whose idea of fun was shooting his crew members for no reason at all. This calls for grog all round.
